That was an ideaset of UbuntuEdge Phone. That shows the power Ubuntu has in the market. Albeit even discretely. They have a driving force force what the market wants and expects. And most importantly, what the market can do with. That is the far future can be brought now.
Microsoft are also thinking, and in the implementation phase, of the convergence user interface. another first from the Ubuntu corner.
Ok. I know what you are thinking. Why in the world am I even mentioning it here.
But lets accept when something has been polished and good enough. In the Linux community, we have tolerance for being second fiddle before we wake up. So cutting to the chase. Windows 8. 1 has pushed some new updates(they are probably old). These updates have made the OS somewhat more usable on the desktop.

TestDisk Drama
I was unlucky last week when I found out I had lost all my data.
Or rather my disk was corrupted.
I decided to go for TestDisk. This did not go down well. Even the Dual boots (Windows 8.1 and Ubuntu 14.04 LTS) went down as a result.
Long story short: Never again will I test TestDisk. Atleast until the moment I have certified its result on a Guinea Computer.
Someone who knows this thing well….?
So it finally happened some time early.
Sometime early this year I got a mail from ubuntu about the the “fore-closure”. It seems to me a bad good thing. That is:
